Our goal at LegaSea Fishing Charters is to ensure a safe, exciting, and truly unforgettable experience at sea for every guest who steps on board.
Business owners Stefan and Lizalda van Jaarsveld took over LegaSea with a deep love for the ocean, a passion for fishing, and a genuine enjoyment of working with people. We believe that every trip should be more than just fishing — it should be an experience where guests feel welcome, relaxed, and part of the adventure from the moment they arrive.
Our crew is also a big part of what makes LegaSea special. Skipper Noah and our deckhand Juan-Jacques are known for their passion, patience, and dedication to the job. They love what they do, and they take pride in making every guest feel comfortable — whether you’re an experienced angler or trying deep sea fishing for the very first time. Safety always comes first, and their calm and professional approach helps create a fun and stress-free day out at sea.
We are fortunate to be able to target a wide variety of pelagic game fish on our trips, including: Yellowfin Tuna, Natal Snoek (Queen Mackerel), Couta (King Mackerel), Wahoo, Dorado (Mahi Mahi), Queenfish, Giant Trevally, and depending on the season and conditions, the occasional Marlin and Sailfish.
At LegaSea, we don’t just offer fishing charters — we offer the chance to experience the beauty of St Lucia, the thrill of the open ocean, and the kind of memories that stay with you long after the trip ends.
Experience the thrill of surf launching before setting out in search of the ocean treasures.
Heading South, you stand a chance to catch Natal Snoek (Queen Mackerel) in the shallows, passing the 187m, highest vegetated dune in Africa (Mapelane dune) on your way to the Jolly Rubino shipwreck.
Whilst travelling back up against the North warm Mozambique current, we will be targeting Yellow Fin Tuna and several other fish species. You will also encounter an abundance of sea life.
This is an ideal adventure for family and friends!
